To be honest we have all been there where you need to reset the network settings in order for the network to start working again. If its just slow wifi or your network is acting up, here are few steps you can reset the network settings on a Mac.
Unlike windows machine Mac does not have straight forward network settings resets but the good news is that you can try multiple ways to reset the network settings. Here is how:
- Click on the “Wi-Fi” icon on the top and choose “Wi-Fi Settings…“
2. Select the Wi-Fi name and click on “Details”
3. Click ” Forget This Network”
4. Click “Remove” to delete the saved Wi-Fi connection.
Once you have have removed the Wi-Fi connection, the auto join to Wi-Fi will be turned off and you will need to connect to the Wi-Fi again by providing the password.

If you are an iPhone user and wondering how to reset network settings on iPhone. Here is how:
- Open Settings: Tap the “Settings” app on your home screen.
